Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with strong OR experience for a 13-week assignment in a Medical Imaging department serving a diverse inpatient, outpatient, and surgical patient population.

Details

• Work in a Medical Imaging - X-Ray department within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, ED, OR, NICU, pediatrics, vented, and sedated patients
• Imaging types include whole body, musculoskeletal, neuro, and portables; no fluoroscopy procedures (e.g., lumbar punctures, GI studies) required
• Majority of time will be spent in the OR
• Average of 15–20 patients per day
• Equipment includes Carestream portables, GE rooms, and GE C-arm
• Charting systems include Epic (preferred) and Sectra
• Mix of 8-hour and 10-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation and holiday coverage expectations to be discussed during interview
• On-call is rarely required and schedule to be discussed during interview
• No floating required

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience considered; 3 years preferred depending on background
• OR experience required
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
• Proficiency with C-arm required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• DOB and SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• 1-week orientation provided
• Blue OR procedural scrubs are provided
• Free parking is available on site
