Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 30-bed Surgical/GI/Oncology unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 30-bed Surgical, GI, and Oncology unit (4 North)
• Patient population includes surgical, gastrointestinal, and oncology cases
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating interdisciplinary care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and supporting discharge planning
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within the facility's radius may be eligible at a different pay rate
