Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Neuro Stepdown position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and active NC or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Neuro Stepdown in a hospital setting
  • Neuro patient population; strong general medicine or surgical experience also considered
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required to Med/Surg, Neuro, Stepdown, and PCU units
  • Epic EMR used; prior experience required
  • Blocked scheduling is not available
  • Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly

Requirements

  • Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), all must be in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
  • Neuro experience preferred; candidates with strong general medicine or surgical backgrounds will also be considered
  • Epic charting experience required
  • One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
  • Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a different pay rate
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exemptions or declinations accepted
