Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring vent/trach experience and a minimum of 2 years of recent LTAC/telemetry experience.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Chronic care unit focused on complex, medically intensive patients
• Telemetry monitoring and ventilator/tracheostomy patient population
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC and/or telemetry experience in a hospital setting
• Vent/trach experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Full US Social Security Number (SSN) and Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability and applying the nursing process in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Previous employment at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
