Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) night shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring vent/trach experience and a minimum of 2 years of recent LTAC/telemetry experience.
Details
- Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
- Chronic care unit focused on complex, medically intensive patients
- Telemetry monitoring and ventilator/tracheostomy patient population
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC and/or telemetry experience in a hospital setting
- Vent/trach experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Full US Social Security Number (SSN) and Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for shift accountability and applying the nursing process in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery
- Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- Previous employment at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed during the consideration process
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
