Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) day shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience and vent/trach competency.

Details

• Long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital setting
• Unit: Chronic Care (LTAC/Telemetry)
• Requires experience with ventilator and tracheostomy management
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN RN license or multi-state compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only; RCIS and RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting
• Vent/trach experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability including planning, delegating, and supervising patient care in accordance with the Nursing Process and state Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and clinical leadership in care delivery
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Previous employment at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) must be disclosed
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
