Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with day shift hours and on-call responsibilities.

Details

Hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
13-week contract
Weekend work is required
On-call requirement applies to this position
Floating to other locations may be required

Requirements

Active NM RN license or current Compact state RN license
BLS certification required (AHA)
ACLS certification required (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served
Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations
Ability to perform prolonged standing and walking, and heavy physical effort including positioning, pushing, and transferring patients and equipment
Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits; manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the OR
Ensures quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
Works under the direction of the Patient Care Director or Manager as part of the Patient Care Services department
Work environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
Working hours may vary due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; local candidates are not accepted on this position
