Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position working night shifts with required fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification required
• Current fetal monitoring certification required: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• Minimum 1 year of L&D or perinatal nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and treatment effectiveness
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
