Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Maternal Fetal / OB-GYN sonography for a mobile outreach role covering clinics across New Mexico, requiring 5+ years of experience and ARDMS Fetal Echo certification.

Details

• Mobile outreach position serving clinics in Gallup, Farmington, and Santa Fe, NM — sonographer is based out of Albuquerque, NM
• Team departs each morning at 5:15 AM and returns between 6:30–7:00 PM daily; shift hours are 5:15 AM–7:00 PM, including travel time between facilities
• 4x12 hour day shifts; no weekend requirement
• A driver transports the sonographer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; sonographer drives the outreach van on Tuesdays (Gallup) and Fridays (Santa Fe)
• Focus on low and high-level women's imaging for pregnant patients
• Equipment includes GE E22, GE E10, and GE S10 ultrasound systems
• Charting system: Cerner
• No on-call requirement
• Candidate must reside in Albuquerque, NM for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of sonography experience required
• ARDMS OB/GYN, ARDMS, ARDMS Fetal Echo (FE), and BLS certifications required
• NM State License required if applicable
• Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
• Must be able to operate an outreach van (safe driving module completion required)
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Perform low and high-level obstetric and gynecological ultrasound exams, including fetal echocardiography, at multiple outreach clinic locations
• Sonographer must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a small traveling team
• Sonographer will park at and clock in/out from the Eubank Clinic employee parking lot, where the outreach vans are stationed
• Must complete a facility safe driving module prior to driving the outreach van
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub color: Burgundy
• Requests for more than 7 days of time off require approval
• Pending NM State License accepted
• 6-month break required for travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark, whichever comes first
