Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NM or compact RN license.
Details
- Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting with 32 beds on the unit
- Night shift (18:30–07:00), 4x12-hour shifts per week, with an option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- 6 weekend shifts required within every 6-week period
- Floating required within scope of practice
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
- Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Active NM or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved
- Any scrub color is acceptable, provided there is no hospital logo
