Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and night shift availability.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population consists of general medical-surgical patients (cardiac telemetry patients are no longer accepted on this unit)
• Target patient ratio of 1:6, with a maximum of 1:7 during high census or critical staffing periods
• 12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to other units is required as needed
• Self-scheduling model
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• 13-week contract with the possibility of extension beyond 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• IV insertion and telemetry skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred

Additional Information

• Must pass an EKG test prior to the start of the assignment
• Unit orientation is approximately 24 hours
• Scrub colors are navy and/or white
• No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted after booking; any call-offs or additional RTO could result in contract cancellation
