Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in Columbus, OH, requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of VIR experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department within a hospital OR setting, featuring 2 endovascular suites and open procedure ORs
- Patient population includes vascular and interventional cases with an average of 20 patients per day
- Staff ratio of 2 Radiologic Technologists per RN
- Common procedures include abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, and EVARs
- Equipment in use includes fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, ultrasound, Philips Epiq 7G, and Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX
- Epic/CareConnect EMR with PenVasc reporting software
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Weekday call up to 2 days per week; weekend call every 3rd weekend
- Every other holiday required
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED required; must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification or current equivalent required
- Ohio Department of Health radiologic license required (pending status accepted; typically obtained within 24–48 hours) — license required if applicable
- Current BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of VIR experience preferred; candidates with 1+ year of experience will be considered if they have Level I or Level II trauma experience
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound required
- Must be competent in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating roles for minimally invasive image-guided vascular procedures
- Candidate's permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

- Assist the Interventional Radiologist during minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating roles
- Requires knowledge of imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound as used in vascular procedures
- Surgical scrubs provided
- No more than 5 days of RTO will be approved for this assignment
