Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Short Stay Med/Surg unit position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and Epic proficiency, with night shifts in a hospital setting.

Details

• Position is based in a Short Stay unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 8-week contract
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Free parking is available on-site
• Local candidates are accepted and are given first priority; the pay rate is the same for both local and travel candidates

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license valid in NC
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and revise individualized patient care plans
• Assesses and anticipates patient and family discharge needs, incorporating cultural and educational considerations
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development goals
• Two professional references will be required for consideration
