Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Johnson, AR, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit at a women's hospital
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call shifts required 2x per scheduled period
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active AR or multistate (compact) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
• Postpartum experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal care during the obstetrical care continuum
• Applies the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
