Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Key West, FL, requiring at least 2 prior travel assignments and current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting in Key West, FL
- Patient care spans antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
- Floating to other units required based on facility needs
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- PALS required; may be obtained within 30 days of start if not currently held
- AWHONN certification preferred; can be completed onsite
- Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments required
- Experience in L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby required
- Must have at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
- Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical leadership, and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care
- Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
- AHCA background check required for FL placement
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible
- RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
