Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for a general medical-surgical and telemetry patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister campus locations
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules required, estimated at 4–10 hours
• RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion, with a maximum of 4 days typically approved
• Only one holiday off may be approved per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to be away for at least 6 months prior to returning
• 13-week contract
