Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• 13-week contract in a hospital ICU setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays are included in the schedule
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float to ER, IMCU, and Telemetry/Med-Surg as needed
• ICU patient ratios vary based on acuity: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1; IMCU ratio is 5:1
• Patient population includes renal failure, shock, overdose, ETOH withdrawal, pulmonary edema, sepsis, acute renal failure, acute OB stabilization, and post-surgical patients requiring critical intervention
• Primarily adult ICU; pediatric patients requiring ICU-level care are treated in the adult ICU due to no dedicated pediatric ICU
• Charting via Meditech

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), CPI, and PALS
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront and will not be honored for Easter or Memorial Day weekend
