Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in a multi-setting rehabilitation role across inpatient and outpatient care.

Details

• Work setting includes both inpatient and outpatient environments, as well as swing bed evaluations
• Patient population spans pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations
• Primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend coverage for inpatient and swing bed evaluations
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Current Colorado PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform hands-on patient assessment and treatment
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver patients and equipment of 20 lbs or more
• Strong communication skills and ability to exercise independent judgment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Role includes progress toward prior level of function or maximum medical improvement per Plan of Care
• Documentation responsibilities include progress reports, daily notes, and special reports as requested
• May include supervision and instruction of PT Assistants, volunteers, and students
• Reports directly to the Rehabilitation Department Manager
• Work environment is fast-paced with frequent interruptions and occasional extended hours
