Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a SICU/ICU-CCU position at a Birmingham, AL hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and current AL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed SICU/ICU-CCU unit at a 505-bed hospital in Birmingham, AL
• Patient population includes surgical, vascular, and general ICU patients
• Patient ratio is 2:1
• Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement to any ICU unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (AHA-issued only; American Red Cross certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• ICU-specific skills checklist required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is a recognized leader in aortic valve surgery, COPD, heart attack, heart failure, and stroke care, and holds Primary Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission
• Navy scrubs required; artificial nails are not permitted
• All certifications must not be expired or set to expire within 30 days of the start date; proof of enrollment in a renewal class is acceptable as a placeholder
