Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a General ICU position at a Level III Trauma hospital in Winchester, TN, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a 10-bed ICU within a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility holding Joint Commission accreditation, designated as a Level III Trauma Center
• Primarily adult patient population (18+), with rare pediatric post-op patients
• Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, DKA, atrial fibrillation, pre/post heart catheterization, and septic shock
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Key equipment includes Baxter pumps, GE bedside monitors, and Arjo beds
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends as needed
• Floating and call requirements are census dependent
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state or Compact license) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be obtained prior to start; RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and cardiac support
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing critically ill adult patients with conditions such as septic shock, DKA, COPD exacerbation, and cardiac conditions including pre/post cath care
• The ideal candidate is a team player who is compassionate and a patient advocate
• Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; street clothes and apparel bearing outside hospital names are not permitted
• COVID vaccination card required
