Description

American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures for an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Cardiac Services / Interventional Radiology unit with 4–6 procedure rooms
• Performs diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures under physician supervision
• Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, vascular and interventional radiology procedures with scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties
• Provides pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care and assessment
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required as needed; some weekends may be required based on staffing needs at time of service start
• This is a newly launched service line at the facility

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology
• Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology
• ARRT, RCIS (or exam-eligible at time of hire), or CVT with 4+ years of cath lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Proficiency with physiologic monitoring including intra-cardiac pressure waveform knowledge, pacemaker operations (implantable and external), and related radiographic equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Preferred candidates have 4+ years of combined cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology experience
• ARRT Advanced Level Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography and RCIS designation are preferred
• Orientation includes a service partner orientation on day one, followed by department and service-specific training
• Scrubs required
