Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Heart Station position requiring at least 1 year of echo tech experience and RDCS certification.

Details

• Outpatient and inpatient cardiac testing setting within a heart center
• Average caseload of 8–9 patients per day
• Procedures include TTE, Nuclear Medicine Echo, TEE, Pharmacologic Stress Testing, and Bubble Studies
• Phillips ultrasound equipment used in the department
• Epic EMR and PACS system; Epic experience required
• 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
• Clinic is closed on major holidays
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, with most recent experience within the last year
• BLS and ARDMS (RDCS) certification required
• Experience with TTE, TEE, Nuclear Medicine Echo, Pharmacologic Stress Testing, and Bubble Studies required
• Epic EMR experience required
• License required if applicable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of cardiac sonography studies including TTE, TEE, Nuclear Medicine Echo, Pharmacologic Stress Testing, and Bubble Studies
• Department team includes RNs, CMAs, EKG Technicians, APPs, and MDs
• Orientation includes facility-wide new employee orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• RTO requests are managed through the department manager
• Purple scrubs required
