Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a valid TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 23-bed Med/Surg unit (7A)
• Patients include adults aged 18+ with acute medical/surgical conditions requiring observation or inpatient care
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; the RN holds full responsibility for their patient team
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• Must successfully complete a proctored rhythm test
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• RN assumes full clinical responsibility for all patients on their assigned team
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
