Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a radiology ultrasound unit, with Epic EMR experience and an active MA license required.

Details

Radiology Ultrasound department in an acute care hospital setting
Weekend-focused schedule: Friday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM (8 hrs), Saturday 3:00 PM–7:00 AM (16 hrs), Sunday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM (8 hrs)
32 hours per week with possibility of additional weekday hours
Charting performed in Epic EMR
13-week contract

Requirements

Active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
2 references required for consideration
Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

Local candidates must have a permanent residence more than 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for the standard travel rate
Time and attendance tracked via UKG/Kronos
No validated parking available at Boston locations; public parking costs approximately $17–$22 per day; public transportation is available

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner hospital is wonderful place to work! The unit is brand new, and the team truly works together and supports one another! and I really appreciate the smooth workflow within the unit.

Cons

The work schedule is great—I really appreciate the flexibility and the variety of shift options available, especially for nurses. Housing can be expensive and sometimes difficult to find. Traffic and commuting can also be hectic at times.
