Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in an acute care hospital setting, requiring critical care background and the ability to take call.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within an Interventional Radiology (IR) unit
• Works with both outpatient and inpatient populations in an environment similar to a Cath Lab
• Experience with CT scans, interventional medicine, moderate sedation, PICC line placement, and anesthesia care
• Variable day shift schedule: 4x10s with shift start times of 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Call required approximately one to two days per month, with 7-day call coverage per rotation
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license required — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Interventional radiology or procedural nursing experience strongly preferred; ICU or ED experience considered in lieu of radiology background
• Active certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS — pending certifications not accepted
• Must be able to take call
• Must be flexible and adaptable to variable patient volume
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing nursing care for IR procedures, moderate sedation management, and supporting both scheduled outpatient cases and urgent inpatient needs
• Unit operates on a flexible schedule managed by an accommodating manager
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or CHI-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Paid daily parking is available on and off campus; monthly parking pass options are also available
