Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Janesville, WI, requiring a minimum of 3 years of RN experience with cardiovascular intervention background and an on-call rotation.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift with an on-call rotation
• On-call schedule includes one night per week and one weekend per month
• Cardiovascular and interventional radiology patient population
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of critical care experience
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass an EKG test

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Responsible for patient assessments, care planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and applicable state practice standards
• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy
• Provides patient and family education tailored to the appropriate level of understanding
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Supports peer review, peer feedback, and ongoing professional development opportunities
