Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Janesville, WI, requiring a minimum of 3 years of RN experience with cardiovascular intervention background and an on-call rotation.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Day shift with an on-call rotation
- On-call schedule includes one night per week and one weekend per month
- Cardiovascular and interventional radiology patient population
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of critical care experience
- Cardiovascular intervention experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Must successfully pass an EKG test
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
- Responsible for patient assessments, care planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and applicable state practice standards
- Develops and executes individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and hospital policy
- Provides patient and family education tailored to the appropriate level of understanding
- Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Supports peer review, peer feedback, and ongoing professional development opportunities
