Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with inpatient and outpatient experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an outpatient clinic and hospital setting in Carlsbad, NM.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting with inpatient hospital coverage also required
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, with one Saturday per month at the hospital
- 13-week contract
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: MedHost
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience required
- Both inpatient and outpatient experience required
- Current NM PT license required; pending NM licensure considered if applicable
- Active BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Fingerprints required for all travelers working in New Mexico
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
- While both inpatient and outpatient needs exist, inpatient is the more pressing priority
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates with no gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months are preferred
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
