Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with inpatient and outpatient experience for a 13-week day shift contract at an outpatient clinic and hospital setting in Carlsbad, NM.

Details

• Outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting, with the more pressing need being inpatient
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, with one Saturday per month at the hospital
• 13-week contract
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: MedHost

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience required
• Both inpatient and outpatient experience required
• Current NM PT license required; pending NM licensure will be considered if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Fingerprints required for all travelers working in New Mexico
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and applying techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• PTs will also work with patients on preventive fitness and wellness strategies for long-term health
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
