Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg unit position requiring prior travel experience, Charge RN experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit serving patients from adulthood through geriatrics
• High-volume patient population includes total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Moderate-volume patient population includes other surgical procedures, inpatient and 24-hour observation medical patients
• Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit
• On-unit physical therapy gym allows patients to receive PT without leaving the department
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Charge RN coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to orthopedic and med/surg patients across a broad acuity range
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 13-week contract
