Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience to work in a cardiac-focused nuclear medicine department with SPECT and PET imaging capabilities.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a cardiac-only nuclear medicine department
• Department includes 4 SPECT locations and 1 Cardiac PET department; all techs rotate through each location
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Average daily caseload of approximately 10 cases per site
• EMR systems include Epic (required), Spectrum Dynamics, NucTrac/Syntrac, and Syngo Dynamics
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours, scheduled anytime between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Occasional weekend and holiday call coverage (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Float within the facility and across all nuclear medicine locations per scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Current BLS required
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (N) certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active professional licensure required, if applicable

• RTO is capped at 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• RTO blackout period applies during Spring Break (April 4–12)
• Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be available to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
• No scheduling change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Copies of all required certifications are needed for consideration
