Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience to work in a cardiac-focused nuclear medicine department utilizing SPECT and PET imaging.

Details

  • Cardiac-only nuclear medicine department with 4 SPECT locations and 1 Cardiac PET department
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Average daily caseload of approximately 10 cases per site
  • All techs rotate through each SPECT location and the Cardiac PET department
  • EMR systems include Epic (required), Spectrum Dynamics, NucTrac/Syntrac, and Syngo Dynamics
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours, with shifts varying anytime between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Occasional weekend and holiday call coverage (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed across all nuclear medicine locations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (N) certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • RTO maximum of 7 days per assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)
  • Holiday coverage is expected: travelers are required to work all major holidays that fall within their assignment period if one or two occur; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
  • Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
  • No scheduling requests or alternate shifts will be accommodated; the posted shift is firm
  • Red scrubs required
  • All compliance requirements must be met on time; delays may result in a two-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
