Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position in Massena, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases
• Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance
• Experience managing patients with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Epic EMR experience required

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Any color nursing uniform is acceptable
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
