Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience to support a high-risk OB consultative practice, including NT and cardiology exams.

Details

• Outpatient high-risk OB consultative practice open 4 days per week, with on-site hospital support across the street from the practice
• Patient population includes neonates and adults
• 6 exam rooms with an average daily census of 44 patients
• Sonography scope includes NT scans, fetal cardiology exams, detailed scans of multiples, and amniocentesis
• Uses Epic and GE Viewpoint
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday on-call for hospital-based scanning as directed by providers
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating to alternate campus locations may be required within the scope of practice

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of perinatal/maternal fetal sonography experience required
• ARDMS, CCI, and NT certifications required
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with high-risk OB sonography, including NT scanning and fetal cardiology exams

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Black scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period — if one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three major holidays fall during the assignment, travelers are expected to work two of them and one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must have been away from all system facilities for a full year before returning as a traveler
• No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
