Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ED/Med-Surg position requiring dual competency in emergency and floor nursing on night shifts.

Details

• Work setting is a community hospital emergency department with a combined ED/Med-Surg unit
• Nurses are expected to carry a patient load on both the floor and in the ED
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract length is negotiable, ranging from 8 to 13 weeks
• Blocked scheduling (grouped shifts) will be accommodated when possible

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in both emergency department and med-surg settings is required
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of a valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Nurses must be clinically comfortable managing both ER and medical-surgical patients within the same shift
