Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg - Hem/Oncology position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and chemo certification preferred.

Details

• Position is on Unit 10A, a Hematology/Oncology Med/Surg unit
• Common diagnoses include oncology, step-down care, and a high volume of sickle cell patients
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month are required
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg specialty experience
• Chemo certification preferred
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment with complex and diverse cases is required — candidates with experience only in small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Active certifications must be provided for consideration
