Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab position at a hospital in Northport, AL, working night shifts with every other weekend required.

Details

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Pavilion within a hospital setting
• Patients include stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary cases focused on improving functional ability and independence
• Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring alongside a multi-disciplinary team including physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Providers round daily during patient stays
• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, a Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units and hospitals required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or Compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on license allowed
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent experience in inpatient rehab
• NURSYS verification required
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver 24-hour nursing care and medical monitoring to inpatient rehabilitation patients
• Collaborate daily with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient recovery goals
• No HealthStream modules required prior to start — competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation
• Solid navy scrubs required
