Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of experience with 1 year of recent rehab specialty experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional ability and independence
• Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring alongside daily rounding by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and a simulation vehicle
• EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units and hospital campuses required

Requirements

• Active RN license for the State of Alabama or a Compact license currently in hand — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No prior or current hits on license allowed
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of recent inpatient rehab experience
• Current Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration
• NURSYS license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide 24-hour nursing care to rehabilitation patients as part of a multidisciplinary team including physiatrists, NPs/PAs, and therapists
• Solid navy scrubs required
• Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no HealthStream modules required prior to start
• Timekeeping system: Centricity
