Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with home health experience for a full-time, 13-week travel contract providing PT services across a multi-county coverage area in Michigan.

Details

Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties
Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
Every other weekend required, with a compensatory day off during the rotation week
No call or float requirements
13-week contract

Requirements

Active Michigan PT license required if applicable
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Minimum prior home health experience required
Valid Michigan driver's license, personal vehicle available for daily business use, and proof of auto insurance required
Strong documentation skills and ability to meet compliance timelines for electronic health record charting

Additional Information

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with injuries, and musculoskeletal, neurological, and bone conditions to restore function, improve strength, relieve pain, and enhance functional independence
Clinical duties include standardized patient assessments, establishing functional baselines, treatment planning, goal setting, and direct individual and/or group PT sessions
Participates in interdisciplinary team discussions, rounds, and clinics
May design and fabricate splints and other assistive devices
Provides family, patient, and community education as part of the care plan
Administrative duties include thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record
A phone interview with the unit leader will be conducted as part of the hiring process
