Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (Inpatient) with 2+ years of experience and fluoroscopy skills for a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV.

Details

• Inpatient Imaging Diagnostic department at an 800-bed Level II Trauma Center with 80 ER beds serving a 500-mile radius
• Patient population includes neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• May be required to float to other areas within the organization up to competency level
• Schedule may vary based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview
• Epic EMR — training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience
• Fluoroscopy experience required
• ARRT certification required upon hire
• Active State of Nevada Medical Radiography license required (license required if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures across a wide range of patient populations, including in the OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography settings
• Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, executing physician orders, ensuring patient safety, consulting with Radiologists on contrast media, and managing patient flow
• Additional duties include billing, supply stocking, medical charting, informed consent documentation, and quality improvement studies
• Competency in OR Suite, Trauma Suite, and portable radiography must be demonstrated without assistance by the 90-day evaluation
• The facility operates at the volume and pace of a Level I Trauma Center and is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City
• A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the assignment
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• A 13-week break is required before returning travelers may be re-submitted after completing a prior contract
• RTO must be submitted with your profile — time is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for approved time off
