Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Intermediate/Step Down experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Staffing pool assignment supporting UNC Health Wayne
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week, working 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina or a compact license with NC as the state of practice
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• CPI certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Intermediate/Step Down nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of overall nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and address complex patient needs
• Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families
• Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required by the patient care plan
• Two professional references required for consideration
