Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring ACLS/BLS certifications and prior travel experience, with floating responsibilities across multiple units.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow units and the ED for patient holds
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Alternating schedule of 36 and 48 hours per week (3x12 and 4x12 shifts)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float responsibilities include coverage of PCU overflow and ED holds
• Must be agreeable to an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
