Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring charge nurse experience, Epic proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts scheduled as 3x12s one week and 3x12s plus one 8-hour shift the next week
• Minimum every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• Epic EMR used; experience must be within the past 2 years
• 5-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license required; NY RN license (or proof of pending NY license) accepted
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required; candidate will regularly function in a charge capacity
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required: at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate will regularly perform charge nurse duties in addition to bedside care responsibilities
• Bi-weekly Monday orientations offered; candidates should confirm the next available orientation date
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required
• Vermont licensure is not required at time of submission; candidates must apply for VT licensure within 24 hours of commitment
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (straight-line distance) to qualify for the travel pay rate
