Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a Level 2 trauma, acute care teaching hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, requiring a NY RN license and a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting at a 349-bed acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level 2 trauma center
• Shift hours are 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM (night shift)
• Alternating weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NY RN license required; candidates actively applying for licensure may be considered with proof of completed application
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• CEN or TNCC preferred
• Two professional references from a manager or above, rated 'standard or above average,' from the past year in the same specialty
• Completed skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Level 2 trauma center environment with a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department
• Only AHA-issued certifications are accepted for BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Northwell or Nuvance Health location may be subject to an eligibility review process before placement
• Timekeeping is managed through the Kronos system
• Online orientation modules must be completed prior to assignment start
