Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuroscience ICU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work setting is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center on the Neuroscience ICU unit (8AB)
• Unit serves a critical neurological patient population with complex and high-volume trauma cases
• Floating between the ICU and stepdown unit is possible
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• BLS required (certification card must be provided for consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of neuro ICU experience required
• Experience in a high-acuity, large-scale, high-volume trauma environment comparable in size and trauma level to this facility is required
• Neuro unit-specific experience must be clearly documented in work history
• Work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required
• Skills checklist matching the ICU specialty required for consideration
