Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a 4th Floor unit, with oncology experience preferred and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Inpatient hospital setting on a Med/Surg unit (4th Floor)
• Oncology nursing experience is highly preferred; general Med/Surg experience will be considered
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license with NC as the state of residence
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• CPI and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; minimum 3 years strongly preferred
• ADN, ASN, or Nursing Diploma from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Participates in patient and family education, including assessing readiness and developmental factors affecting learning
• Coordinates discharge planning and consults appropriate resources for complex patient needs
• Contributes to unit-level performance improvement activities and professional development goals
