Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in an Emergency Department at an acute care hospital setting
• High volume of behavioral health patients seen in this ED
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR: Cerner (CernerCeil)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills OR MOAB De-Escalation Course (online portion) must be completed prior to start
• Valid US Social Security Number and a US home address required
• Driver's License, two professional references, and copies of certifications required for consideration

• CPI/MOAB on-site physical skills training will be completed during facility orientation
