Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Kokomo, IN, requiring charge experience and AHA-certified ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Details

• Work in a 15-room Emergency Department seeing approximately 100 patients per day
• The hospital also includes a 13-bed ICU, Med/Surg, PCU, Acute Rehab, and Level 2 OB units
• 24/7 support from Respiratory Therapy, ER providers, and a hospitalist team on site
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required; must be comfortable in a charge role
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued
• TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
• CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, updated every 2 years
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across the full spectrum of ER patient presentations
• Local candidates are accepted; however, local candidates may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
