Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Echo Sonographer with 2+ years of sonography experience and active ARDMS or CCI/RDCS certification for a Heart Station position requiring Epic proficiency and prior travel experience.

Details

Inpatient and outpatient Heart Station setting across two hospital campuses
Performs transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), stress echocardiograms, TEE probe cleaning, and Lumason contrast studies
Schedule begins as 4x10-hour day shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) through end of May, with potential transition to 5x8-hour shifts thereafter
Rotating weekend and holiday on-call schedule, on-call hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
No floating required
EMR: Epic experience required
Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a local pay rate

Requirements

Active ARDMS or CCI/RDCS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience required
Prior travel experience required
Current AHA BLS required
Epic EMR experience required
IV certification and experience administering contrast agents preferred
License required if applicable
2 recent supervisor or manager references in a matching specialty required for consideration
Driver's license with address matching application demographics required for consideration

Additional Information

Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly schedule with minimal orientation time — strong independent experience is essential
RTO requests of no more than 5 days must be submitted prior to confirmation; requests will not be accepted after placement is confirmed
Block scheduling is not allowed
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Any color scrubs are acceptable
Must be available to work every other major holiday
