Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and at least 2 years of experience for a home health position covering Gaston, Cleveland, and Rutherford Counties in North Carolina.
Details
- Home health setting serving a geriatric and adult population across Gaston, Cleveland, and Rutherford Counties, NC
- Average caseload of 6 patients per day with a current census of 197 for the Cleveland branch
- Common diagnoses include neurological conditions, TBI, dementia, dysphagia, apraxia, aphasia, and voice disorders
- EMR: HCHB (highly preferred); Epic experience also noted
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm; manager is open to 10-hour shifts upon request
- May float to sister branches, including the Lincolnton Branch (approximately 25 minutes away), based on volume needs
- No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage expected as needed based on caseload
Requirements
- Active state SLP license required if applicable
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) required — must be post-CFY
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance required for home health travel
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed SLP; no CFYs accepted
- Home health experience highly preferred; SNF experience also considered
- Proficiency in dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive treatment required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Must have been separated from any Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Provides in-home assessment and treatment for speech, language, swallowing, cognitive, and voice disorders
- Supported by an interdisciplinary team including RN/LPN, PT/OT, Social Work, Scheduler, and a Team Assistant
- 5-day orientation provided
- Scrubs: light gray
- Free parking available at the central office
