Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Tech (EP/Cath Lab) with a minimum of 2 years of EP-specific experience for a 13-week contract at a community teaching hospital in High Point, NC.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab at a 351-bed community hospital in an urban setting — a designated Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center with no trauma designation
• Common patient diagnoses include AFib, sudden cardiac death, cardiomyopathy, and heart block
• Average of 3–7 cases per day
• Team of 3–4 staff members per case, supported by a Charge RN and department leadership
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Specialized equipment includes CARTO, ESI, Lab Pro System, and PFA-Medtronic systems
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekend rotation, no on-call, and no holiday coverage required
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of EP-specific experience required
• For RN candidates: active RN license (license required if applicable), BLS, and ACLS required; Epic charting experience required
• For Cardiac Cath Tech candidates: BLS and ACLS required; ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred; Epic charting experience required
• EP/Cath Lab scrub experience required, including running a stimulator and intraprocedural documentation
• RN candidates must have experience with circulating/monitoring EP procedures and management of pressors
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must provide the last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include EP/Cath Lab scrubbing, running a stimulator, and intraprocedural documentation; RN candidates will also circulate/monitor EP procedures and manage pressors
• Orientation includes 1 week of general facility orientation followed by 2 days of departmental training
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available on-site
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Time off requests are managed at the manager's discretion
